This multi-disciplinary introdction to the food system reveals its many complexities as seen by leaders in agriculture, food safety, food security, food sovereignty, food trade, and farm labor. Perspectives are offered from both the public and private sectors on how to make the food system more sustainable and equitable. The course is open to both undergraduate and graduate students at UC Berkeley.
