After the Kyoto Protocol was signed, the Kyoto Prefecture established the Earth Hall of Fame in 2010. Since its inception, the award has been given to 20 outstanding individuals who have contributed significantly to the protection of the global environment. Congratulations to Miguel Altieri for his induction into the Earth Hall of Fame Kyoto for his contributions to environmental preservation and academic research in agroecology.
