Research Description
I am interested in the ways in which science is used to inform the management of water resources. My work has focused on the Klamath Basin of Northern California and Southern Oregon, and has examined how government science has been used to settle legal disputes and allocate water between various interest groups. I am also interested in the role that water is beginning to play in development projects in the global south. I will eventually study the water-based health interventions and economic development projects of Northeastern India to analyze patterns of authority in the production of knowledge.
