This season’s films include Cecilia Aldarondo’s essayistic examination of the aftermath of Hurricane María in Puerto Rico, Joshua Bonnetta’s experimental evocation of the gift of second sight in Scotland, and two documentaries by Indigenous filmmakers arising out of Brazil’s Video in the Villages workshops: Jocy Guajajara and Milson Guajajara directly observe the challenges of maintaining the demarcations of Indigenous lands, and Patricia Ferreira Pará Yxapy and Ariel Duarte Ortega record the daily activities of two young boys and the spiritual practices of their elders.
