Farai is an interdisciplinary conservation scientist, bridging ecological and social science methods and theories to better understand and support decentralized ecosystem management systems. At Berkeley, Farai is a Chancellor’s Fellow and is exploring the links between community-based fisheries management and coral reef health. He is interested in integrating mixed methods, from remote sensing to participatory mapping, to further equitable conservation practices.
