Distinguished Lectures

The ESPM Distinguished Lecture Series (DLS) was initiated in 2012: its purpose has been to honor an exceptional ESPM faculty and an equally exceptional finishing PhD candidate. Mentoring, service to society, good citizenship, and, of course, depth and innovation of the research are some of the parameters that may be used to make a nomination. The DLS program honors a faculty and a finishing student during the Spring semester of each year: in order to receive the award, the two awardees will be asked to present a seminar during the Spring ESPM Seminar Series. Traditionally, the Faculty Distinguished Lecture is given at the end of January, while the Student Distinguished Lecture is given at the end of April.
