October 23, 2012

ESPM professors Rosemary Gillespie, John Harte, and Patrick O'Grady were recently awarded a large grant by the National Science Foundation. The grant is part of a multi-faceted NSF program known as Dimensions of Biodiversity, a program which will investigate lesser-known aspects of Earth's biodiversity.

The grant will support collaborative research that seeks a community level approach to understanding speciation in Hawaiian lineages. The Principal Investigator for the grant is Rosemary Gillespie, with John Harte, Patrick O'Grady, and Rasmus Nielsen of Integrative Biology, serving as Co-Principal Investigators.
