The award "is given in recognition of a researcher, within ten years of their PhD degree, who is making notable contributions to the field of science, technology, and environmental politics.”
Meckling studies the politics of climate and clean energy policy, with a focus on energy innovation in industries such as solar and electric vehicles.
This award was announced in the June 2019 issue of Step Ahead magazine.
