Congratulations Ian Wang, National Science Foundation (NSF) grant recipient! This grant from the NSF will fund a five-year study led by Wang on the effects of climate change on vulnerable species.

Wang studies evolutionary changes in the morphology and demographics of western fence lizards, revealing how populations can transform in response to climate change. His data analysis and workflow will teach UC Berkeley undergraduates scientific computational skills. Additionally, the data from this study will be used to develop an augmented reality educational game, in which students collect and analyze data on the effects of climate change while exploring a real outdoor space.
