Native bees provide the essential ecosystem service of pollination in both agricultural and natural areas. However, native bee populations are increasingly threatened due to agricultural intensification, habitat fragmentation and habitat loss. Ecological restoration has been proposed as a mechanism to promote bee conservation, though the key factors that contribute to successful restoration projects are under-studied. My research focuses on the availability of local resources on native bee nesting and foraging in agricultural landscapes.
