Reserving an ESPM Room

ESPM faculty, cooperative extension specialists, lab staff, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers may request room reservations by inviting themselves as a guest on the preferred room for all ESPM-related meetings and events (e.g. "103 Mulford). You must sign-in to your Berkeley Calendar to access the department’s bCal calendar. If you are experiencing issues reserving a room, email ESPM staff at espmrcpt@berkeley.edu

  1. Access to department rooms is restricted and reserved for ESPM and our affiliated groups (e.g. Forestry).

  2. Make all requests at least 2 business days in advance.

  3. Choose a room (see links listed below) and check the availability before submitting requests.

  4. Recurring room reservations will be approved for a maximum of 1 semester/term.

  5. The reservation requester must include their ESPM affiliation, reservation business purpose, and the number of attendees. Without these details, requests will be denied.

  6. Adhere to the Policies and Guidelines governing conference rooms and classrooms.

ESPM Tech & Equipment Rental

The department offers tech and equipment rentals to ESPM faculty, cooperative extension specialists, lab staff, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers for instructional purposes, lab meetings, and qualifying exams.

Please note: Rental requesters are liable for loss, theft &/or damage to department equipment.

To reserve equipment, contact espmrcpt@berkeley.edu and include the following details in your email:

  • First name and last name

  • ESPM Affiliation

  • Equipment Requested

  • Purpose for Use

  • Rental Time Frame

  • Mobile Phone Number

  • Room/Location for Equipment Use

ESPM Equipment Rental Policy

  • Rental requests are only for ESPM students, faculty, and staff. 

  • Equipment must be used solely for ESPM-related activities; personal use and use by student organizations are not permitted.

  • Equipment may be checked out and returned between 8am - 4pm, Monday through Friday. Exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis.

  • ESPM rental equipment must remain on campus.

  • Please return the equipment promptly at the agreed-upon time to ensure smooth future rentals.

  • All rented equipment, including cables and adapters, must be returned in the same condition as received.

  • Loosely wrap cables and cords, free of knots and bending. Tightly wrapping cords around power blocks produces kinks and causes connectivity damage.

  • In case of equipment issues, such as damage or malfunction, please notify ESPM staff immediately via email at espmrcpt@berkeley.edu

  • Account for all accessories and cables included in your rental.

  • Never leave equipment, cables or adapters unattended in classrooms and conference rooms.

If a classroom is locked, whom do I call to for room access?

How can I find out if a general assignment classroom has internet access, a computer projector, and other media equipment?

Refer to the Educational Technology Services Classroom Information Database.  

How would I schedule an ESPM undergraduate course(s)?

How do I cancel my reservation?

Cancel reservations through bCal or contact the Department Assistant at espmrcpt@berkeley.edu

What if another class/event is in my scheduled room?
